How it Works

We built Files2QR to change how people move data from one device to another. Our system uses modern cloud technology to make sharing feel instant and effortless for everyone involved.

01 Our Main Goal

The developer behind Files2QR, Annnon , started this project with a simple idea. In a world where we all carry powerful smartphones, moving a file or a web link from one person to another should be as natural as taking a photo. We want to remove the annoying steps that usually come with sharing data, like sending yourself an email or searching for someone on a messaging app just to send one document.

By using QR codes as the bridge, we allow you to share anything in person without needing the other person's contact information. There are no accounts to create for the person scanning the code and no slow upload speeds for you. It is a direct and clean way to get data where it needs to go.

02 Sharing Your Files

Our file sharing tool works with many different formats such as high quality images, PDF documents, and small video clips. Most cloud storage services want you to keep files forever, but we focus on temporary sharing.

When you upload a file through the app, it is sent to a network of servers spread across the globe. This means when someone scans your QR code, the download starts immediately from a server near them. This helps avoid the typical lag you find with older hosting services.

03 Sharing Web Links

Moving a website address from one screen to another can be a headache, especially if the link is long and complicated. Our link engine takes those URLs and turns them into clean QR codes that any phone can read instantly.

This is very useful for business owners who want to share a digital menu or for professionals who want to share their portfolio or social media profiles at a meeting. It is much faster than typing and ensures nobody makes a typo.

When to use Files2QR

Meetings and Events

If you are giving a presentation, you can show a QR code on your screen. This lets everyone in the room download your slides or extra resources at the same time without needing to write down a website address.

Business and Restaurants

A restaurant can turn their menu into a QR code easily. Customers just scan it to see what is available. This is a great way to keep things digital and easy to update whenever the menu changes.

Quick Personal Sharing

Whether you want to send a photo to a friend or share a document with a classmate, using a QR code is the most direct method. It works regardless of what type of phone the other person has.

Our Technology and Safety

To make sure our service is always online and fast, we built everything on the Cloudflare network. This allows us to run our code on many servers at once. Your data is processed through Cloudflare Workers, which are specialized tools that handle your requests as close to your physical location as possible.

How we protect your data

We take your privacy very seriously. Any file you upload is stored in a secure system called Cloudflare R2. We do not want your data to sit on the internet forever, so we use an automatic deletion policy. Every file is given a specific time to live. Once that time passes, our system automatically removes the file from our storage completely. This ensures that your information is only available for as long as you need it to be.
